Wear the Full Armor of God in Your Workplace

God desires to establish certain aspects of the Kingdom through the use of the marketplace. As Kingdom Entrepreneurs, we glorify God by keeping our focus on Him and inviting Him into our situation, allowing Him to work through us in our place and position of business.

I find it extremely encouraging and empowering to visualize that I am wearing not a suit or a uniform as I prepare for each day of work, but rather the full armor of God. I encourage you to focus on this powerful scripture as you prepare yourself mentally and spiritually each day as a minister in the marketplace.

Ephesians 6:10-18:

“Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints….”
GOD BLESS YOU!

I enjoyed watching you on CBN today. I was raised in a strong Christian home and was saved at 10 yrs old. My hubby, Michael is a Chiropractor and we own a pain clinic. We live in Brentwood, TN. south of Nashville. We also have a NuSkin business that is going extremely well and would be an awesome opportunity for anyone you know who might be interested in anti-aging. The products and business opportunity are incredible. They also have a program to feed the children in Africa which is fabulous! The info. is on my website at http://www.ageblock.gpnworld.com. Our NuSkin business is definitely worth looking at. God bless you and all you are doing to further His Kingdom!! Have a blessed day ~ Melissa

    Dear Kendra,
Thank you so much for your interview this morning on CBN. I was so encouraged by your comments. I love the concept of becoming a Kingdom Entrepreneur.

Earlier this year, I began my own, very first steps, into the world of becoming an entrepreneur. The road so far has been quite a challenge, but every morning and throughout my day, I pray that God will guide my steps. Now I believe that your blog, Grow Rich God’s Way, will become a place where I will stop often for insight and inspiration as I walk out my own personal journey to becoming a truly successful Kingdom Entrepreneur! God Bless You.

    Dear Kendra,

I enjoyed seeing you on CBN this morning and was very inspired by you, your love of Jesus and all that He is doing in your life. I have very little time to watch tv or check out blog’s but as I am here in KY with my ill father, God has given me a lot of free time and I believe lead me to watching the show this morning and hence checking out your website. I have been in the real estate industry for 23 years and am also everyday asking God to show me how I can glorify Him in everything that I do. He has brought me to a place that I depend soley on Him and I am enjoying all the joy that he is bringing to me and the excitement of where He is taking me.

Thank you for being you and for praising Jesus! I will be visiting your site on a regular basis and I hope that I can be an inspiration to others as well. Peace! Julie

Hi Kendra, I just got a chance to watch you on 700 club when it is shown again in the evening where I live. I was excited to hear about your blog because, being self employed and a Christian, it is so important to get the encouragement and inspiration as much as possible! I watch the 700 club every evening to be encouraged how God works in peoples lives and it gives me hope. The past 9 months have been the hardest of my life, with the economy, my 17 year business has taken a hit I never dreamed possible. My daughter and I had to sell our home, move to a basement apartment and rely on our church for groceries every other week or so. BUT, through watching the 700 club I came to understand about tithing which I committed to 9 months ago and God took me on a journey to learn complete dependence on Him…guess what…. He has provided EVERYTHING we needed and suddenly now I am finding all kinds of work opportunities, I currently have 5 jobs which keeps things interesting all the time. Two of the jobs are new businesses I started so seeing a blog about business done God’s way will be an enormous source of encouragement! We are still struggling and the businesses are just getting off the ground, but I have high hopes for success! Thank you so much for sharing your faith and being an inspiration!

That was a great show on CBN. When will you be posting the video?

I saw your interview with Pat Robertson on the 700 Club. It was good to see someone who has made a mark in the mainstream media also take a bold approach in their faith. I can imagine that it takes alot of courage in itself. I was a fan of the apprentice the first few seasons, but I must have missed when you were on the show. I admit that I have not seen you on any of the mainstream television shows or know very much about your story. However, I admire your vision, aspirations and courage to spread your faith through your profession. You seem to be blessed with wisdom beyond your years. Keep up the great work!

nice site. really love the armor of God. nice reminder to be sure. thought i would share the following. wrote it one day, fall of 97, while driving, steering with my knee, in twelve minutes.
    Bliss

May many blessings befall you, things such as this:
Speak your heart, and mind. With calmness, comes Bliss.

For the old ways of being, they can no longer be.
Let out your light. Embrace your simple divinity.

So stand up for the self. To the self be true.
In any conversation or act it is that you do.

For is it not within that one truely finds the core,
and as this occurs, brighter still it grows, ever so, more and more.

For is not all of life a wonder? The connected beauty of it all.
The movement now being more rapid, be respondent to the inner call.

For if but the faintest of light should be cast in the darkness of room,
more vast becomes ones sight. The world then, so much more illumined.

    So look within your silence.

Listen in the stillness,,, that can be seen.

    And feel with your knowing

that we all play parts in the grandness of God’s great dream.

And in each day that passes – in each moment that unfolds –

it is to be fully who you are – truly your gift to the world
    12 minutes
    trust the self
